Briefing & script

What should the film say, and to whom? Message, tone and script take shape together.

Storyboard

Scene by scene, visualised. You approve before animation begins. That keeps revisions cheap.

Animation & render

Characters, motion, camera, composition. Reviews after every sequence, a clear status at any moment.

Sound & final

Voiceover, music, sound design. Multilingual on request. Delivery as MP4, MOV, ProRes, plus all crops for social.

How long does it take to produce an explainer film?

A 60- to 90-second film comes together in 4 to 6 weeks. Pure motion-graphics explainers often in 2 to 3 weeks. Longer brand films in 6 to 10 weeks.

What does a professional explainer film cost?

Explainer Compact (15 to 30 seconds motion graphics) from €4,500. Story Explainer (60 to 90 seconds with characters) from €12,000. Brand films (2 to 3 minutes, full story) from €24,000.

What makes an ADC-awarded film different from a standard explainer?

The story. Standard explainers explain features. An ADC-level film tells a story in which the feature plays a role. That starts at the script, runs through character design and composition, all the way to sound. I develop films at that level even when the budget isn't in the brand-film tier.

How many revision rounds are included?

Per phase (script, storyboard, final animation) 2 to 3 revision rounds are included. Larger conceptual changes after storyboard sign-off are agreed separately.

What do you need from me to start?

A clear goal and the target audience. Existing brand guidelines help but aren't required. I develop script and storyboard with you even if you only have a topic.

Do you produce multilingual versions?

Yes. From the Story Explainer package onward, voiceover swap and on-screen text per market are included. DE and EN in parallel is the standard case.

Who writes the script?

Usually I do. You bring the topic, I develop the narrative, a degree in communication design makes that possible. If you already have a script, I'm happy to take on production only.
